St. Johns County to offer recovery kits to small businesses

In an effort to help with the economic recovery, St. Johns County is distributing “Small Business Recovery Kits” to support local employers.

These kits will include some personal protection equipment that will help keep employees and customers safe upon opening.

To receive a kit, applicants must own a St. Johns County business, they must be able to open to the public in accordance with the governor’s executive order, have 50 employees and not be a home-based business.

Businesses that do not already have personal protection equipment may sign up by emailing ppe@sjcfl.us with the following information:

• Owner Name
• Company Name
• Business Address
• Phone Number
• Email
• Number of Employees
• Copy of Business License

Each kit contains:

• One box of 50 gloves
• One box of 50 disposable masks
• One bottle of hand sanitizer.

Initial supplies are limited, and priority will be given to the restaurant, health care, hospitality, tourism, and retail industries.
