Patriot Day entails somber memories of one of the darkest events in American history. Those who lived through it or were affected by it, hold on to the sentiment "Never forget." This year marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks on America -- and a new generation is bringing new meaning to the day, turning it into a day of hope and service, with the help of Jay Winuk, CEO and EVP of 9/11DAY (911DAY.ORG), Susan King of Feeding Northeast Florida (FEEDINGNEFL.ORG), and the staff & student community of the University of North Florida (UNF.EDU).

Craig Sotkovsky was a Ground Zero volunteer who spent 2 days working construction equipment to help rescue or recover people and clear toxic debris from the World Trade Center rubble immediately after the attack. He is one of thousands of people dealing with 9/11-related health issues - in his case, lung cancer from pathogens in the NYC air due to the attacks.,
