JACKSONVILLE, Fla — Food Network host and chef Alton Brown will be performing at the Florida Theatre on February 14th as part of his “Last Bite Tour.”
The Good Eats host describes his shows as “culinary variety shows,” saying “It’s very much a nod to the variety TV shows in the 70s like Sonny and Che, where there’s a bit of everything. There’s some live music, there’s comedy, there’s a fair amount of food. We do some very strange, very large culinary demonstrations, there’s a lot of audience interaction. So it’s a culinary variety show.”
Brown says this is his last big national tour but it doesn’t mean he won’t stop doing live performances. “I’m going to concentrate on shows where I can travel around the country and do very small shows for smaller theaters, you know for like just a few hundred people. So this will be my last big format, you know, 18-wheelers and rock ‘n roll buses kind of things where we’re out for 10-12 weeks at a time.”
