A warm, windy day and start to the weekend will bring a very high fire danger.
The Florida Forest Service and local firefighters are ready to quickly respond to any new brush fires.
"Our readiness level has been elevated because we are concerned about potential new starts", said Annaleasa Winter, Wildfire Mitigation Specialist with the Florida Forest Service.
"Over the next four to five days fire behavior is gonna be really tough on us", said Jacksonville Fire/Rescue Chief Martin Senterfitt.
WOKV's Chief Meteorologist Accuweather's Heather Zehr says it's dry. We have low humidity, and gusty winds at times.
Since November, we've only had about one-third of the rainfall that we should have had.
The National Weather Service in Jacksonville says Sunday into Monday appears to be our best chance of significant rainfall.
Storm total rainfall amounts could approach around 1 to 2 inches with isolated higher totals across southeast Georgia.
